Our Snails

Aquatic snails, belonging to the Gastropoda class, inhabit water environments worldwide. Their coiled shells provide protection, while they glide around using a muscular foot and feed with a radula. Some species are carnivorous. These snails play a crucial role in nutrient cycling and serve as prey in aquatic ecosystems. In aquariums, they offer additional benefits: they help control algae growth, contribute to maintaining a balanced ecosystem, and add visual interest with their diverse shapes and colors.
