Orange Cherry Shrimp
Orange cherry shrimp, also known as Neocaridina davidi, are a vibrant and captivating addition to freshwater aquariums. Known for their striking orange hue, these shrimp are not only visually appealing but also relatively easy to care for, making them an excellent choice for both novice and experienced aquarists. They thrive in a range of water conditions but prefer a temperature between 65°F and 80°F and a pH of 6.5 to 8.0. These shrimp are excellent algae eaters, helping to keep the tank clean while also scavenging for leftover food. Their peaceful nature allows them to coexist harmoniously with other non-aggressive tank mates. Their breeding habits are fascinating as well, with females carrying eggs under their abdomens until they hatch. This makes orange cherry shrimp not only a beautiful but also an engaging species to observe in any home aquarium.
