Skittle Mix
Our Skittle Mix shrimp are a vibrant assortment of Neocaridina drawn from several colourful breeding lines. Just like a handful of sweets, each group contains a lively mix of colours that can include reds, blues, yellows, oranges, and other shades depending on availability from our tanks.
This mix creates a bright and dynamic display in the aquarium, with different colours moving together throughout plants, mosses, and décor. No two groups are exactly the same, making every Skittle Mix colony unique.
Because these shrimp come from multiple colour lines, their offspring may develop a range of colours or gradually revert to more natural tones over time. Many hobbyists enjoy this unpredictability, as it allows them to watch their colony develop and evolve naturally.
Like all Neocaridina, Skittle Mix shrimp are peaceful, active, and constantly grazing on biofilm and algae. In a mature aquarium they quickly become an engaging and beneficial part of the ecosystem while helping maintain the natural balance of the tank.
Skittle Mix shrimp are a fantastic choice for beginners starting their first colony or for experienced shrimp keepers who simply enjoy a colourful and lively aquarium.
