Blue Dream Cherry

Blue Dream shrimp are a stunning variety of Neocaridina, admired for their deep blue colouration and solid body coverage. Their rich sapphire tones create a striking contrast against plants, driftwood, and darker substrates, making them a standout addition to any freshwater aquarium.

Unlike Rili varieties, Blue Dream shrimp typically display full body colouration, with the blue pigment covering the entire shrimp from head to tail. In well-bred lines this colour can range from vibrant sky blue to deeper midnight tones, giving colonies a beautiful and dynamic appearance within the tank.

Peaceful, active, and constantly grazing, Blue Dream shrimp spend their time exploring surfaces in search of biofilm and algae. In a mature aquarium they quickly become an engaging and beneficial part of the ecosystem while also helping maintain natural tank balance.

Hardy and adaptable, Blue Dream shrimp are suitable for both beginners and experienced shrimp keepers. In stable water conditions they breed readily, allowing aquarists to develop thriving blue colonies over time.
